Blue tree baby, Denver lady

While spending time in Denver, Colorado for the Slow Food Nations festival, I saw several trees where the bark was painted blue. I figured that it was to prevent the spreading of some sort of disease, but as it turns out it was actually an art installment by Konstantin Dimopoulos

The trunks of several trees have been painted with a non-toxic, temporary blue paint to highlight sustainability and tree conservation, according to the Denver Post.

In striking contrast to the green leaves and grass, the Blue Trees project definitely is eye-catching to those who walk by.
